An accomplished entrepreneur, Steve Fireman has taken his experience and success as a
business owner and attorney to the non-profit world. He currently serves as the President and 
General Counsel of the Economic & Community Development Institute (ECDI). 
Fireman practiced Law at Chorpenning Good and Mancuso LPA and as a solo practitioner. 
Later, as EVP/General Counsel at MidAmerican Finance & Home Equity he grew mortgage 
volume from $600,000 to $6 million per month. He went on to form his own company, 
Supreme Title Agency LLC, taking the company from infancy to profitability in six months. 
Fireman has served on ECDI's board for the past nine years as a founding member.
His management experience includes oversight of retail and wholesale operations, legal 
compliance, strategic planning, marketing, sales, investor relations, vendor relationships, loan processing, underwriting, closing and

boards. Some of his board experiences have been with the following organizations; First Step Atlanta, Upper Arlington Chamber, and

ensuring that all of ECDI’s programs continue to meet the needs of the community.
