Brian is an experienced entrepreneur and software engineering manager, having held CTO positions at multiple funded startups. He has coached, built and transformed agile software organizations using Scrum, Kanban and XP. His experience includes building and managing teams of technologists for web (SaaS/B2B), mobile, enterprise, DevOps and custom software development. As the first CTO of Digg.com, Brian hired and managed the technical teams that created one of the most highly trafficked websites in the world. He is currently the Founder of CloakAndHire.com and advising multiple startups in SF, Boston, Austin and Columbus.

As Director of PR for Geben Communication, Taylor Orsbon leads the team in delivering exceptional service and driving desired outcomes. She brings her signature positive, friendly and quick-thinking approach to relationship building and strategy, focusing on innovative best practices that establish clients as trendsetters and leaders within their industries. Taylor has a proven track record of securing high-profile placements in national media, including the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, TechCruch and Mashable, among many others. 
A firm believer that PR can positively impact a brand’s bottom line, Taylor joined Geben Communication in 2012 after beginning her career at one of the Midwest’s largest full-service marketing communications agencies, where she worked with clients in a broad range of industries including tourism, consumer, technology, business-to-business and the nonprofit sector. Drawn to Geben’s core focus on innovative, intentional PR that drives real results for brands, organizations and startups of all sizes, Taylor knew she had found a group of kindred spirits – and her place to shine. When she’s not meticulously mapping out the foreseeable future in her beloved planner, Taylor stays immersed in the local Columbus community, volunteering her time and talent with ROX, The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio, CYP, Columbus StartupWeek and TEDxColumbus.

Michael manages activity related to the Ohio TechAngels Funds (OTAF), including initial investment, deal screening, pitch preparation, due diligence, terms, and investment. Michael has a BS in Management from Boston College. His favorite quote is from one of our favorites, the creative and entrepreneurial Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. “Oh, the things you can find if you don’t stay behind.”

Alvin Givens

Alvin Givens is a Vice President in the Middle Market Technology Banking group based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Prior to his move to the Technology Group in December of 2014, Alvin served as a banker in the Core Middle Market. He covers the Midwest for the MM Technology Group. Alvin has worked at JPMorgan Chase since 2004, serving as a Vice President in the Indianapolis Middle Market until his transition to the Technology Team. Alvin is actively involved in the Indianapolis community, serving on the board of TechPoint, iDew (IT Diversity-Enhanced Workforce – an IU School of Informatics & Computing Initiative), ALHIT (a committee focused on growing healthcare IT companies in Indiana), Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana Foundation, and the Purdue University Technology Park Advisory Council, among others. Alvin holds a B.S. in Finance from Indiana University, Bloomington. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1977 to 1981. Alvin resides in Carmel, Indiana with his wife Nadine. They have two children.
